Avantages

Difrent are a great community - a warm, inviting inclusive community - - Relaxed, but hard working attitude which equals a great combination! - Open Door Policy to Management - Linear structure - There is always a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment - Difrent are proactive and eager and this is demonstrated in town halls, open door sessions, and general day to day slack conversation etc. - Being asked and involved with strategic initiatives - Empowered to do the job without any micro management - As well as being awesome company, they always think of the team by offering daily catch up coffee sessions, check ins, virtual personal training sessions and someone is ALWAYS available to chat to if you need it - If you are reliable, do a good job, work hard for your client and Difrent, whilst having fun along the way - Difrent recognise and respect that - and you can't ask for more than that.

Inconvénients

There is a huge gap between words and action at Difrent. Much is said about the culture, but there is no culture that anyone in management can articulate - whilst they claim that they want a workforce predominantly of permanent staff, they simply don’t know how to recruit, manage or develop them. There is a sloppiness through the whole company that comes from recruiting quickly and badly. The management layer is under skilled and under experienced to support the staff who are actually delivering to the clients. Salary was OK, but leave, sick and pension are dreadful.

As the CEO of the business I take a review from a previous permanent member of staff like this really seriously. I hope that you fed back as part of your exit interview the specifics of your concerns into your line manager and our People Manager. I will be chatting to both as a matter of urgency to better understand the disconnect that you suggest between the culture and the values of the organisation and your personal experience. Your review suggested your were with us for over a year which leads me to ask whether these concerns were also flagged up as part of your regular 1:1's with your line manager, through team meetings or at the monthly All Hands. I would be very keen to pick up a a direct conversation if you would find that useful for you. I am available at Rachel@difrent.co.uk
