Avantages
I worked in the Engineering department, there was no shortage of work when you are designing custom sheet metal enclosures for the Industrial Power. ESL Power Systems is a a family owned company that is growing. It is face paced due to the numerous orders they receive on a daily basis. ESL should also be completing the implementation of 5S company wide. They do a lot of team building activities like bowling night every quarter and do employee of the month to help keep the moral of the employees up.
Inconvénients
Pay was not up to par with the responsibilities that I was assigned. The company provided $300 per month to assist with Health, Dental and Eye coverage which in most cases did not cover the coverage of the employee alone due to the increasing premiums in Health Coverage. Basically, you still were getting deducted money out of your paycheck to cover the balance of your cover in addition to what you are already getting deducted for spouse and dependents. I took a cut in pay from the aerospace company to work a closer to home and they informed me that they are growing along with an increase in pay. 0.4% raise is not my idea of a raise, more of an insult. In the production area they cycle through a lot of temporary employees (machinist and welders) resulting in the manufacturing of the products very inconsistent in regards to quality.
