Avantages

Great staff, mostly wonderful families and students. We had amazing resources and having 2 equally certified teachers in every classroom, plus counseling, ELL, and Reading Intervention support was amazing. Excellent professional development provided or paid for and technology was integrated into every classroom.

Inconvénients

The hours were ridiculous. The turnover was very high. We had a lot of meetings and we had some trainings that were more business oriented (like how to give an elevator pitch about the school or what fonts to use) than school oriented. A lot of inexperienced teachers, which leads to behavior issues in the classroom. The curriculum was very strict (no room for flexibility or following student interests).

Thank you for sharing your good experience with our staff, students and families- this is truly a hallmark of EHTP. You bring up some really good points regarding hours and we are constantly working to create the proper work life balance for our educators and sometimes we fall short and we acknowledge this.
