Thank you for your feedback - I appreciate your perspective. I couldn’t agree more that the people are our greatest asset, and our challenging projects are what make us thrive at Ecosystem. However, you mention some significant concerns I’d like to address. We’re leveraging the expertise we developed over the past (almost) 3 decades in the Canadian market for our expansion and growth in the US, and collaboration enriches our cross-border teams. Also, while we’re agile in our design and construction process, we also know that our business model – guaranteeing the results that matter most to our clients – is too important to compromise. We are proud to be growing in the US market while staying true to our core values and aligning our interests with those of our clients.

Avantages

Ecosystem’s a great place to work. It attracts a unique group of talented, result-driven individuals, focused on energy savings outcomes. The projects are meaningful, which generates enthusiasm for delivering guaranteed results. What stands out is the collaborative nature of colleagues who strive toward a common goal regardless of job title. The atmosphere is friendly. Anyone in the company is a phone call away, inter-office collaboration is common, and knowledge sharing is prioritized. Ecosystem is very accommodating to employee needs, gives freedom in decision-making, and encourages team members to forge their own path. It’s an organic network that I’m proud to be a valued contributor to. As a decade-long employee who has worked in multiple offices, I’m excited about the future and what comes next.

Inconvénients

Part of Ecosystem’s design is the freedom entrusted to individuals to do things their own way, which can be challenging for those accustomed to strict guidelines. Enthusiastic self-starters will thrive. The entry test is challenging but also fun.

Avantages

What has always stood out most to me is that Ecosystem's company culture actually matches the values it promotes. There is a strong emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and accountability, and it is clear that those values are shared by everyone who works here. I’m constantly learning from the people around me, and there’s a strong sense of ambition across the organization. Leadership is engaged and open to feedback, which makes it easier to feel connected to the direction of the company. I’ve also appreciated how supportive the environment is when it comes to experimenting with new ideas and investing in employee growth.

Inconvénients

The environment requires a high degree of ownership and self-direction. Management is relatively non-hierarchical compared to more traditional companies, so there’s an expectation that you proactively ask for help, learn from mistakes, and figure things out as you go. That can be a great fit for people who like autonomy, but it may take adjustment if you’re coming from a more structured environment. There’s also an expectation that employees step outside their comfort zones and contribute wherever needed, which means complacency is not really an option. Also, the people are unfortunately too enjoyable to spend time with, which may lead your friends and family to question why you voluntarily attend so many work-related social events.
