Avantages
No shortage of cases. Make as much money as you want. Create your own schedule, off on the weekends if you like. Great for beginners, but don't stay more than 6 months, At that point you will have enough experience to go somewhere else.
Inconvénients
No training provided, learn as you go. Pay is just okay, The mileage reimbursement is a joke. 30 cents a mile does not cover gas on long drives. Management will push the boundaries for case assignments. If you live in a small city they will try and give you cases that are 80 plus miles away. Refuse those cases because the pay and the mileage reimbursement is just not worth it. Make sure you remind them of your home base and how you prefer local cases. It makes no sense to me when I see investigators who live far away working cases in the city I live. Then I'm the one driving far for other cases.
