      Avantages

      The people you work with are generally awesome, talented individuals. Opportunities to work on fun stuff occasionally. If you are nerdy, you'll probably make friends.

      Inconvénients

      No real direction, and bad communication between teams - especially when those teams are spread across multiple continents and time zones. Leadership is a joke. They preach transparency, but there's a reason we all joked about "the shadow organization that actually runs fandom". The CEO talks fast and tries to sell great ideas -- in reality is just a talking head. The CTO is intelligent, but he is definitely a "boss" and not a "leader". Money management by leadership is incredibly shady. You can afford to build out an immaculate new office in CA (where all the upper level people are), but layoff office manager roles in other offices because there isn't any money. Don't even get me started on the HR exec leaving to start her own company... with the first client being Fandom. Shady stuff.

      Thanks for the feedback - I agree that we get the chance to work with amazing people, thats whats made this such an amazing place to work! As to your office comments - we've made significant investments in all our offices, not just California. Our offices are obviously not being used now due to a global Covid pandemic, but they are ready for when we return. Glad you mentioned focusing on experience, its a core strategy for the company and you would have seen major change had you remained. Good luck to you in your career journey

      Avantages

      I loved working with the team as a mixing engineer for music production. Everyone was so creative and fun to work with. I was also a sound designer for various projects within the company. Very flexible and cool people.

      Inconvénients

      I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about working with them.

      Avantages

      Fandom is the most welcoming and accepting place I've ever worked. Every person I've seen join has been welcomed in and really brought into the Fandom community. As a community-driven website Fandom makes efforts to listen to the fans and proceed accordingly. I feel like I can have big ideas at Fandom that may actually be done.

      Inconvénients

      Lacking a real sense of direction. Lots of great departments doing great work, but the throughline gets lost sometimes. Depending on your role you can be exposed more or less to the raw internet and upset users.
