Avantages

The company has invested money in equipment. Not the consumables needed to keep the equipment running, but they have spent money on equipment.

Inconvénients

The management will tell you every lie under the sun to get you to join them. The "fantastic opportunity" you will be offered is basically being somebody with the duties and responsibilities of a mid level supervisor but without any of the rewards or pay. Many long term employees are on their final warning and/or under a Sword Of Damocles style threats which creates a very nasty "dog eat dog" environment when things go wrong. Job is incredibly unstable, people come and go at an alarming rate for such a small company. No breaks. Like none. Zero. (Seriously). You have to wait three months for your first paycheck. (Seriously). As previously mentioned in older reviews, many of the management simply refuse to listen to anyone. Unrealistic workloads and delivery times. You will be expected to drop everything to be there in evening and weekends whenever there is a backload of work at extremely short notice. There is no option to say no (Sword Of Damocles comes out etc) Lot of people living in the past (I did this, I worked here, I achieved this) but seem very bitter about their current work predicament. Creates a very uncomfortable "I'm better then him/her/you" environment.

Avantages

A lot has changed in recent months. The management has changed and we get more recognition for our efforts. There is a good team if people and things look positive for the future.

Inconvénients

There are still some things which are a bit disjointed but much of this is driven by the last minute changes from customers.

Avantages

Being a small rapidly growing company is great. There are constantly new challenges, new products being developed and a good team. If you want somewhere where you can hide and not work hard it is not for you. As there are not many off us, everyone has to be flexible and help each other out. In turn if you put the work in you get the support and flexibility and support back to help with a balance of home and work. I was concerned about 2 things before I took a job here. One was some of the comments on Glassdoor. The other was the companies security and future. I have never experienced any behaviour similar to the negative reviews from a few years ago. It may be that some key people in the company have changed before I joined. Feritech was purchased by Addtech last year. They are a large Swedish company with a good bank balance. This has secured the companies future and they came to present to all the staff last month where they explained that they will support us but leave us to grow and evolved without interference.

Inconvénients

On my first day reading the employee hand book was scary. It needs rewriting as it is worded in a very old fashioned inflexible way which does not reflect the company as it is now. If you are not able to switch through a number of tasks at short notice as priorities change this is not the place for you. Although this is a 10 year old company sometimes it still feels quite new as we are still developing a lot of processes to improve the way that we function.
