There are no pros or reasons to join the GSMA in its current guise. Please do yourself and your career a favour and keep looking elsewhere.
Inconvénients
- People turnover People were the key asset of this company. The turnover of people has become exponentially high. Everyone is leaving across all departments, with marketing being the worst one, particularly with the creatives roles. If you join this company, you'll end up covering for a minimum of two roles. After various rounds of redundancies, most employees are submerged with work. In addition, you need to deal with the number of people leaving every month, which is not good for morale. Only in the last month at least 10 people resigned. The knowledge is also gone, which means it would take you even more time to do your job if you were to join. - Toxic culture One day the company values were introduced by the leadership team. These were so important that they were included in the annual performance review. In the past year, not even HR is considering them. New starters at all levels of seniority are not only disregarding them, but behaving in disrespectful ways that became the norm, e.g. not showing up to meetings, showing up to meetings with 15min announced delay, mostly with less senior people. These behaviours are cascading to the new junior roles, who are taking the leaders as an example.
