Even if someone was recognized as a high performer, it's difficult to receive ratings beyond “meets expectations” due to rigid KPI structures. The evaluation system can feel discouraging and disconnected from individual contributions. - Employee feedback often goes unheard. Sprint retrospectives and planning sessions don’t seem to lead to change. Estimations provided by the team are frequently questioned and sometimes overruled, causing pressure to shorten timelines. - Promises made by leadership have not always been followed through. In 2024, layoffs occurred despite prior assurances that they wouldn’t. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened again in 2025. - Job security feels unstable. Some employees have been unexpectedly called into meetings and let go with little warning or opportunity to discuss terms.
