- Fast-paced environment (you’re expected to learn quickly) - Exposure to complex work early on

Inconvénients

- Horrible management with little to no support - Attorneys openly trash-talk support staff, creating a toxic work environment - No real training opportunities or onboarding - Asking questions is discouraged and often met with negativity - Unrealistic expectations to “just know everything” without guidance - Overall culture feels unwelcoming and demoralizing

Respected firm, objective bonus is nice on top of discretionary bonuses.

Inconvénients

Lots of bureaucracy and the help that's promised is rarely actually available.

Avantages

The Minneapolis office is a growing office with great opportunities for associates to get hands on involvement with depositions, motion practice and trials. I found my supervising partner to be a great mentor and person. She cared about me as a person and lawyer. I loved my time at Gordon Rees, but left for increased compensation.

Inconvénients

Less than market pay. Senior associate laterals who were cliquey and sophomoric.
