Avantages

Almost everyone I worked with was nice with good intentions to help clients. Residents didn't have bedsores or appear neglected.

Inconvénients

I was paid for less than 50% of the hours worked. I was working independently without supervision my second day without proper training, I wasn't able to complete training, because the boss wouldn't book it. Now I hurt my wrist. This is why I left within 3 weeks. The staff are not properly trained, They do not practice proper PPE or understand contamination. One co-worker gives patients sleeping pills without consent to make work easier. Another retaliates against them for asking to use the restroom or be changed. Some residents believe this caused long-term harm, but it's hard to prove. Many residents appeared sick, likely from foodborne illness after eating, which occurred at least once a week. Residents pay 5,000 pounds a month, but lack towels etc. Residents feel unheard. Staff talk instead of moving residents to bed as requested or take them to the restroom, which appeared to be due to one employee retaliating against residents.

Avantages

Great PTO! Good place to get experience as a new graduate.

Inconvénients

Poor work /life balance due to lots of uncompensated hours required to maintain productivity. Double booking of clients by schedulers with no say so. pr rather than primary focus of agency is on productivity. Also, Electronic Health Record becomes a crutch (too many check boxes) and you will lose your diagnostic skills and writing skills here. Also, supervision is not free here.
