This leads to an "inner circle" mentality where opportunities, promotions, and major decisions favor a select group rather than recognizing diverse talent. New employees outside this network often feel sidelined and undervalued. Final Thoughts I would not recommend working in CTO-EPE at HSBC unless you thrive in a high-stress, toxic environment with little room for growth or appreciation. Until significant cultural and managerial changes take place, this department will continue to drive away talented professionals.
