Awful culture and HUGE issue with micromanagement!! You’re micromanaged to the point where you feel bad at your job. It’s the managers themselves but also perhaps it’s a way to keep people below the level they’re actually at. I too was hired below my worth and level as I was told they wanted you to ‘grow’ within the company. However they also have a huge reputation of letting people go before their 6 month probation ends… there is a pattern here. Perhaps to retain ‘cheaper staff’ or to get rid of staff that actually try and make the company better and give them feedback they ‘want’. Managing your micromanager is another job in itself, they need to learn to trust their staff. They can’t hold on to staff, even if they pass their probation and are always ‘hiring’ which does not look good at all. I’d avoid and find a nicer place to work!
