As a manager at HomeLight, I’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside a company that truly values its people. Over the past year, I’ve seen firsthand how leadership sets high expectations while also providing the support, tools, and encouragement needed to meet them. That balance has allowed me to develop professionally and contribute meaningfully to my team. What stands out most is the culture. HomeLight is a place where collaboration is real, communication is open, and everyone is encouraged to bring their best each day. I’ve watched ideas turn into company‑wide initiatives, seen teams rally around each other during busy cycles, and experienced leadership that genuinely cares about both the work and the individuals behind it. One area where HomeLight could continue to improve is ensuring that expectations and accountability are applied consistently across all teams. The company is full of talented people, and maintaining the same high standard for everyone would strengthen morale, support fairness, and help the culture grow even stronger. Clearer consistency in communication and follow‑through would make a meaningful difference as the company continues to evolve.

One thing I genuinely appreciate about working at HomeLight is that leadership and HR actually want honest feedback. You’re encouraged to speak up, share ideas, challenge things respectfully, and be transparent about what’s working and what’s not. In a lot of companies, people say they value feedback, but here I’ve consistently seen leaders take the time to listen and have real conversations, even when the feedback is tough. I think it’s important to be true to yourself in a work environment, and HomeLight creates a culture where you can do that. You don’t have to pretend everything is perfect or hold back your thoughts to feel heard. Managers are approachable, HR is extremely receptive, and there’s a genuine effort to improve processes, communication, and the employee experience over time. The environment is fast-paced and scrappy, which means there’s a lot of opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership beyond your title. People who are proactive and collaborative tend to do really well here. I’ve also appreciated how much the company values teamwork and how willing people are to jump in and help each other out across departments. No workplace is perfect, especially in a growing company, but I’ve always felt that HomeLight is willing to evolve, listen, and make changes when feedback is given thoughtfully. That level of openness and transparency is something I truly value.
