Avantages
The company gives you lots of 'freebies' such as free lunch on Uber Eats, fun and games, outings - things like that. They try to make you feel like the company is inclusive, promotes diversity, and is a 'fun work family'. But honestly, almost all of it is fake and because of that, it's almost feels worse.
Inconvénients
Extremely toxic work culture, no empathy or understanding. Preferential treatment with certain employees. Harsh and unrealistic expectations, use of pressure techniques. Quite honestly my time here damaged my mental health badly for a few years, I had never been treated this poorly by an employer ever. I felt that the CEO basically insinuated that I was lying about a traumatic event that had happened to me. I would really love to disclose more information, but quite honestly, it is a little too traumatic for me to go into more detail. The company tries to pretend like they're happy and nice people but when push came to shove, I was ganged up on and extremely mistreated. I felt very exploited. They do not at all live up to their ‘image’ of a compassionate workplace. One of the worst parts about this whole episode was that private, non-work-related information I had disclosed months prior was weaponised against me - except that information was totally misconstrued and misinterpreted. I ended up quitting pretty quickly soon after. No job, no matter how many free Uber Eats or other freebies you get, is worth the mental trauma. Do not make the same mistake like I did. If you choose to make the wrong decision, at least (especially as a POC), keep your cards very close to your chest and do not trust anyone.
