ITT’s people first motto is twisted. They say people first because like a cult they want you to be “all in” or you are out. If you don’t agree with the philosophy they are throwing at you, be ready for a rude awakening. They target the vulnerable and idealistic. They force you to talk about past traumas when you don’t want to or are not ready and then provide no help other than to “let it go”. None of them are educated to do this psychoanalysis. Be prepared to be put on the spot by their higher level managers and made an example in front of your peers. They hire great people which is the hard part and you see them ruin their souls. They say they are not like any other company but they are. If you are valuable to them they will try to keep you with giving you raises. If you are not - you just see the door. And like every company they don’t follow their values - transparency doesn’t exist - you don’t ever hear of people leaving and management never tells you exactly what their plans are. Prepare to be a leader right away even if you are super new to the industry - hey you may even be a Technical Lead or Architect after you’ve just been out of your school for 6 months. They say that there is “no right or wrong” answer or decision when in their minds they already have an answer they want. So don’t believe you really have any power to make a decision because when you make the wrong one they will let you know. Their promises are empty unless it is moving the top forward or if you worship the top and follow their philosophy. No one questions the CEO because well like all the other reviews - he is God. Whatever he says gos no matter what. If you want to survive - worship him. You will be fine.

First of all, we honestly appreciate your feedback. It is important for all of our employees to be able to candidly share any areas in which they feel stuck or incomplete. With that being said, we know In Time Tec is not for everyone. People either love it or they hate it. And we are ok with that. It sounds like you were in the “hate it” camp. While we disagree with the language used in your review, we do see where you are coming from. We do want people to be all in, we do hire great people, we will keep giving raises. We will even ask newer employees to be leaders. In fact, we ask all our employees to be leaders in the sense that a title doesn’t determine if you can or cannot lead. We believe that everyone can be a leader by showing up for others, making meaningful contributions, and being their authentic selves. You can lead as a junior software engineer or as the manager of a department. It is unfortunate that you did not experience our values of trust, transparency, integrity, and leadership during your short time here. We are experiencing massive growth because of our commitment to Create Abundance and we are working hard to make sure everyone has the same experience while they are with us. It seems that we missed the mark with you. We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors and appreciate the time you did dedicate to In Time Tec.

There are only good opportunities for young engineers because there are very few sr engineers so they are forced to put young engineers in roles they are not prepared for. They don't want to pay sr engineers a salary that fits their resume leading to good sr engineers leaving or they put people in the sr engineer role that aren't qualified. The Sr Leadership in the US side are in an echo chamber. If another leader has differing opinions, then they are cut out of leadership and either put in a minimal role or are asked to leave the company. Sr leadership holds their influence tightly and if another leader with differing opinions gets too much influence, their role is significantly reduced. This has happened on multiple separate occasions at different levels of leadership The CEO had big promises that I was so hopeful for and believed so much in. But when push comes to shove, individuals are put on the back burner because of money and those promises are broken.
