Avantages

very good pension and did have a good bonus package until recently.

Inconvénients

Bonuses and promotions are given to the biggest brown nosers and it stinks of nepotism. Extremely poor management. Managers im certain departments lack any professional managerial education with some only having inherited the role due to them being the only person available in the department and to save on recruitment costs, some total idiots in these roles. The Company can be quite stingy when it comes to pay rises and don't discuss career progression. People who are qualified or partly qualified for upcoming roles are over looked and it will be the buddy of the CEO or other that gets the role. very high turnover, lack of adequate resources and no clear career progression path. Only do a year or two if you need experience and then go to a more rewarding company that will want to retain good staff.

Avantages

Working at Insight is fine IF you have a decent manager.

Inconvénients

My manager was a hire suggestion from a c-suite exec, and let’s just say it would have been great if they would have interviewed literally anyone else! The most extreme micromanagement and severe loquaciousness I have ever encountered in my life, my ultimate pet peeve. I don’t think I’m alone in that I don’t appreciate being asked a question and being immediately cut off mid-sentence. I lost all of my ability to persuade or influence because this person is so convinced that they know best. This is an industry where it is really important to lead with calmness and conciseness. Someone told me that after their years of experience (apologies for vagueness) with other asset managers, Insight stands out as the most disorganized and the least able to communicate effectively. It’s really bad in that regard.
