Avantages
- Great vision, and for a time, great plan
- Early on very much like a start-up, as business expanded people were given the freedom to go out and make things happen
- The products were of value, it was easy to create the value proposition and answer the question "Why Intermap?"
- The resources - both financially and in talented workers - was there for a time
- In spite of what you read below, the company has completely removed all of the VPs and the CEO who ran it into the ground. I expect good things to come as it gets back on its feet
Inconvénients
The company was run by the classic "good old boys club" that created a star-chamber of sorts where only the members of this inner circle of very conservative and not very skilled senior management (and there were way too many of them) made all of the wrong decisions and thus lost the vision and the ability to make it happen. Thankfully, this all changed in 2011.
