Avantages

I had the ability to make my own hours, and basically be my own boss. You'll have the flexibility to work around family and personal obligations if necessary, which is a plus.

Inconvénients

Too many to count. Fuel reimbursement is about 7-10% of what you actually put in from your pocket. If you make $20,000 for the year, you can expect to spend upwards of $8-10,000 in food, fuel, repairs, rental of equipment, and uniform charges. When tax time comes around, you are going to owe. After all I was said and done, I owed the government over $1,500, and only brought home about $11,000 after job related expenses. This work is a all a racket, making some people very wealthy. Dispatchers are rude, and the CSR's are ditsy. The earning potential is uncapped, but the majority of runs they deal with are $4-9 a piece, and you only bring in about 57% of that, if not less. Not a good job to have at all, if you ask me. I was harassed, and talked down to on numerous occasions when I refused to drive in hazardous conditions.
