Avantages

Great pay and benefits. Opportunity to move up in the company when you display proper traits. Lots of travel if you're into that sort of thing.

Inconvénients

In such a big company you do feel like a small cog in a big machine. Control systems are very dated and archaic. Difficult to move between platforms because company decided a long time ago to make every upgrade backwards compatible. This means the new technology is not able to compete with what competitors are putting out so the product is slow, clunky and difficult to work on. I was told more than once by ex-customers that the sweetest sound they've ever heard was an old JC system hitting the bottom of the trash can....

Avantages

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Inconvénients

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
