Avantages
Pay is above national minimum wage for now, and most staff are nice people. You may get free lunch 1/month if you meet targets (worth like $5), and some free drinks every week (cheapest coles branded soft drinks). Management used to hand out their damaged/eol stock to staff as gifts, but this has stopped... Quite likely to get full time due to the shortage of staff at the moment.
Inconvénients
Unlimited unpaid overtime. You get pressured into doing unpaid overtime. Filled to the brim with nepotism and favouritism. Most staff are good people; management just care about their budgets and meeting targets. Don't care if we are understaffed or not because they want us to do unpaid overtime. Some people come in 1-2h early every day and dont get paid for it or any other compensation. If we work really hard and meet our targets, we get rewarded with fried chicken. The cheapest chicken & chips meal you can buy. Probably worth $5.
