The hybrid schedule that was initially implemented was a response to the COVID-19 social distancing requirements and was never intended to be a permanent solution. Once those requirements were lifted, we reassessed our business needs along with our employees needs for flexibility to arrive at our current hybrid schedule, which generously allows employees to work from home 50% of the time. Regarding your mention of Fridays, it is important to clarify that employees have always been expected to work on Fridays, whether remotely or in the office. This policy has not changed.
We cannot predict the future, but if you have concerns about our hybrid work schedule, we encourage you to speak with your leadership or HR. As you noted, our campus does not have the capacity to accommodate all employees returning to the office full-time due to our significant growth over the last four years.
In terms of workload, we acknowledge that we are a business and performance goals need to be met. However, we are committed to supporting our employees in achieving these goals. If you feel your workload is unmanageable, please discuss this with your manager so we can work together to find a solution.
