Avantages
Co-workers (peers) are usually nice people willing to take the extra step to make the clients happy. If you become sick to the point of hospitalization, you might get flowers.
Inconvénients
Terrible compensation and benefits package. Terrible senior managers and vps. They pretend to listen, but lie to employees. Employees that are brave enough to speak up are brutalized and humiliated in meetings. Layoffs are a constant feature there. If you are a 15/50 (15 years there, 50 years old), expect to be a victim during the next round. If you are also female, it's worse. Terrible in house development team. They built an expensive software package using biztalk that is slow, crashes constantly, and can't be fixed by anyone except certain special people. When crashes do occur, instead of blaming the poor package design and set up, the end developers are blamed and made into the scapegoats. Lots of hard working IT people were let go in 2014 so offshore (cheap) resources could be used. Their work is substandard and now there are very few people left to repair the damage.
