Avantages

Working in Healthcare—where tasks are often driven by workflows, processes, productivity, and reporting—it can be easy to get swept up in the rhythm of the day-to-day. But somewhere within that rhythm, I’ve found something I didn’t expect: stillness, solace, and the unmistakable presence of God. Since joining Mercy, I’ve been in a season of change. A season of re-evaluating my values, re-shaping my outlook, and learning to lead in new and more intentional ways. Perhaps the hardest part has been learning to sit in the stillness—to slow down and simply listen. To be quiet enough to hear not just my own thoughts, but God’s gentle prompting. And in that stillness, I’ve come to see the depth of what it means to work in a ministry, not just an organization. It’s in the quiet comfort of knowing that at any moment—without explanation—a caregiver will stop what they’re doing and pray with you. It’s in the unexpected conversations where someone simply says, “You’re not alone.” It’s in the kind of leadership that cares not just about metrics, but about hearts—who we are inside and outside these walls. We may all come from different places, with different responsibilities and roles, but we are unified by something greater: We are here to glorify God in all that we do and to all whom we serve. That truth has been a source of empowerment and peace for me. Not because the days are always easy—but because I know I’m not walking through them alone. I’ve learned that sacred moments can be quiet, internal, and deeply personal. Sometimes, the sacred moment isn’t something you witness—it’s something you become.

Avantages

I appreciated the supportive environment and the teamwork among staff. The facility gave me valuable experience and helped me continue growing clinically and professionally. Management and coworkers were welcoming, and patient care was clearly a priority. Overall, it was a good learning experience, especially for someone building experience in nursing and rehabilitation care.

Inconvénients

Because the environment is fast-paced, staffing could occasionally feel stretched during busier shifts. As a newer employee, there was also a learning curve adjusting to workflow and expectations in a short amount of time.
