Avantages
You will likely meet some great people. Important: none of them are execs/leadership.
Inconvénients
Extremely narcissistic, hypocritical leadership is the death of this company. If you have worked at Mode, or even interviewed here, you have heard of the famous "values" the leadership likes to tout, which is laughable considering their actions are the exact opposite of what they preach. Many of the mid level managers only care about looking good in front of leadership, advancing on their own career ladder, rather than nurturing and mentoring their reports. Mode had a huge layoff during Covid last year, during which they gave out the same, bare minimum severance package to every parting employees - those who had only worked there for 3 months, and the those who had worked there for many years. Just a couple months later, when they started hiring for similar roles again, they did not reach out to any of the those former employees. That should tell you how disposable you are to the leadership, despite them claiming otherwise. There is very little organization in place for design/product/engineering teams. Priorities and roadmaps can change in a blink of an eye. You always end up working harder than you really need to due to the severe lack of process. If you do not want to increase your cortisol level, just stay away from this company.
