Avantages

- theres some nice individuals that work there, although it is very island of misfit toys esque.

Inconvénients

- The office itself was genuinely gross. It’s dark, outdated, and poorly maintained. At one point I saw a fingernail sitting on a table in a common area, that pretty much sums up the level of cleanliness and care. - The company feels like a sinking ship. They’ve been missing revenue targets year after year, and it’s hard to see how they’re still around in 3 years without major changes. - The product is archaic. There’s very little that differentiates it besides being one of the cheapest eDiscovery tools on the market. It doesn’t feel innovative or competitive. - Favoritism runs rampant. Because it’s a small company without strong brand recognition, they sell you hard on “culture,” but in reality opportunities seem reserved for a small inner circle. If you’re not a favorite, it’s tough to break in. - Some leadership behavior has crossed lines and left employees feeling uncomfortable, which creates an unsafe, low-trust environment.

I'm sorry to hear you had this experience with us. Let me address a few of your points directly. First, our office is actually a newer build with floor to ceiling windows, so calling it dark and dingy is a bit of a stretch. That said, the fingernail story is genuinely gross and unacceptable. We can't control every employee's cleanliness habits but that's on us to enforce better standards in common areas. On the financial front - yes, we set stretch revenue targets. There has been economic uncertainty in the legal market which everyone has felt. But we still continue to grow year over year. Missing ambitious internal targets doesn't mean we're a sinking ship. It means we're ambitious about where we want to go. Regarding the product, we continue to make improvements and we're genuinely proud of our recent releases. Being price-competitive doesn't mean being archaic - it means we're delivering value to our customers in a tough market. The favoritism criticism stings because building a strong culture is something we care deeply about. I'm sorry you felt on the outside. That's not the environment we're trying to create but clearly we fell short in your case. Finally, and most importantly - the allegation about leadership behavior crossing lines and creating an unsafe environment is something I take extremely seriously. If anyone experiences this please escalate it to the People Ops team. We need to know about these concerns so we can address them properly. A low-trust environment is the opposite of what we're building here. I wish you the best in finding a place that's a better fit for you. Thanks for your time with us. -Lauren, VP of Operations

Avantages

The people here are the real differentiator. It's a talented, passionate group that shows up for each other and brings their best every day. There's a genuine culture of feedback and professional development that pushes you to grow continuously. You're never just a number. You can see your direct impact on the business and are given real autonomy and visibility to help shape and scale both the company and the product.

Inconvénients

Small, scrappy startup energy isn't for everyone. Plans change and priorities shift, so if you need a lot of structure and predictability, it may not be the right fit. But if you want to see your work matter and be rewarded for it, that tradeoff is absolutely worth it.

Avantages

Unlimited PTO is real and people actually use it. Some of the individual contributors are genuinely great, hardworking, sharp, and good people who honestly deserve better. It’s a fine place to land while you’re in between something real, just don’t get too comfortable.

Inconvénients

The company hires through neopotism. EEO is performative at best. Leadership is a closed loop. Most of them have spent their whole careers at Nextpoint, which sounds like loyalty but it’s really just an echo chamber. No outside perspective, no real strategy. There are known substance dependency issues, erratic and inappropriate behavior at the leadership level of that nobody likes to talk about, but will enable. Mismanagement has caused multiple rounds of layoffs. The org structure is always changing. Your role, your team, your whole function can flip overnight for no real reason. Pay is low. Equity used to be apart of comp but is only reserved for fav employees and certain leadership.
