This is a museum whose mission is to show science is for everyone or a firm on Wall Street? Hard to tell sometimes. 3. After they laid off over 1/2 of their staff (over 100 people) due to the pandemic, they would not even notify people when their positions were available again (a year later). Did not offer any type of support or severance for laid-off folks (some worked there for decades). Oh wait, they paid for their portion of our health insurance for a month or two then forced you to COBRA or nothing (peak pandemic). 4. They say they can't pay better since they are nonprofit. Do yourself a favor, if you have a job offer from them: go to guidestar.org and search for OMSI, you can view their "tax" returns (990s are tax returns for nonprofits) and see what the top folks get paid and the amount of money they've spent trying to "redevelop" the property 5. Sexual harassment and nothing is done about it. If I had to hear "hey baby" from this one long-termer older gentleman one more time... oooh boy. It was always glazed over as it was supposed to be a nonthreatening joke he always did.
