Avantages
OnPoint has great benefits, it is the standard in credit unions. 401k matching is better, however OnPoint is notorious for paying significantly less (20-40% less) than other financial institutions for back office (think bachelor degree required) jobs. Branch salaries are comparable elsewhere.
Culture can be great depending what group you’re in, or completely toxic. I worked here nearly a decade and learned its commonplace for manipulative and tone deaf managers to gaslight employees about their concerns and complaints.
OnPoint has some of the best people I’ve worked for, and a lot of the worst. If you start here I suggest you go in with the idea that it’s temporary, and keep looking for a higher paying job that holds its department managers accountable.
Inconvénients
See above, and look elsewhere for employment if you value your time.
