      Avantages

      I worked for Powertek as Project Manager on DoD contract and loved the culture of the company. The management team is outstanding/transparent and work-life balance second to none. Highly engaged and telneted people work at Powertek. I was working as PM on one of the most challenging/demanding DoD projects. However, because of the excellent management and driven team, we were able to exceed the customer's expectations by delivering DTIC's SDLC project on time, within budget with good quality.

      Avantages

      Fellow coworkers on the contract were friendly and reasonable people. Insurance options for vision and dental were appreciated.

      Inconvénients

      Powertek failed to send my resignation email to HR with a months advance notice. I informed them of my intent to take my last week of PTO in the email, which they acknowledged. Thursday, the week before my last week, they informed me that HR has given a mandate that I cannot take the last week, and they moved my end date to Friday the next day. They refused to allow me to donate my excess PTO which was set to be used for the next week, and refused to give me a copy of the employee handbook on request, since they ended access to the company intranet. They will adhere to their legal obligations, but will otherwise try to avoid working with you when they stand to benefit. Such as to avoid paying out over 40 hours of PTO.
