Avantages
I love the place. The people genuinely care about one another and it shows. I work with client contacts that provide great insight into their business. It helps us develop strong work and at the end of the day that is what it is all about. It is also worth mentioning that project work is kept to a minimum so there are not the large periods of staffing up and then laying off that is prevalent elsewhere. Given my responsibilities in life employment security is of paramount importance to me. No other big conglomerate owned advertising agency has a track record as strong as RPM when it comes to keeping people employed. It is a breath of fresh air in a world of project ending layoffs.
Inconvénients
One of the shops that I worked at had quarterly sessions where the newest work got presented by those that produced it. The teams are a bit soloed and a good number of the more junior employees are not getting exposed to the depth and quality of the work that is getting produced. Given my field of experience I can attest that RPM produces tremendous work.
