2yThank you taking the time to share your perspective, and as a current employee of more than 3 years, we’d also like to take the opportunity to express our appreciation for your continued contributions to Red Five. We would welcome the chance to discuss your concerns in further detail, so we encourage you to reach out to a member of our HR or leadership teams. In addition to hearing more about the concerns you’ve shared here, it would also be helpful to get your insight on any aspects of your employment experience that have had a positive impact and contributed to you remaining with us for 3+ years, so we can keep up our efforts in those areas.
At Red Five, we encourage all of our team members to bring forward their constructive, candid feedback. To that end, we recently conducted one-on-one stay interviews with each Red Five employee as a proactive, focused effort to solicit a diverse range of feedback, and we are using the insights we gained to continue our efforts to enhance the employee experience.
Regarding the work schedule for our open source analysts, as you pointed out, it does include substituting a weekend or holiday work-from-home day in place of a regular (Monday-Friday) workday a handful of instances each quarter. Though we do award bonuses to employees for each of these instances, and analysts who work on a company holiday are able to bank it for another day of their choosing during the year, we recognize that this type of alternative schedule isn’t for everyone.
In terms of compensation and benefits, we regularly evaluate our offerings to ensure we are providing our team with a fair and competitive package. As you noted, in the past couple of years we expanded our paid leave benefits to include a wellbeing day, in addition to our PTO benefit which provides for 17-24 days (depending on tenure and level) of PTO each year, and our other paid leave programs. That being said, we will continue to solicit feedback from our team members on how we can further enhance our offerings.
At Red Five, we prioritize ensuring that all career development decisions, including promotions, are made objectively and based on merit. We are committed to continuously reviewing our employment practices to make sure this remains the case.
We hope you’ll give us the opportunity to have a follow-up discussion on how we might be able to address your concerns further, and again, thank you for the contributions you’ve made to Red Five.
