Avantages

good coworkers made it bareable

Inconvénients

So much drama between management and staff. Owner is a slimeball. Would underpay and take advantage of anyone that had english as a second language. Will keep you part time to avoid paying you full time. Zero benefits. Would make us sell spoiled product. Rude and entitled customer base. Other person that said they will punish you by cutting hours is spot on.

Avantages

Super clean and organized store, with all the tasks and responsibilities written out and explained thoroughly by the managers. Excellent management that truly cares about how the place runs and trains you to a T, also always super kind. Overall, as of the last time I worked there, the entire staff both upstairs and in the kitchen is always helpful and nice. You're also constantly in contact with over-excited tourists and New Yorkers who are usually pleasant to deal with and already excited to be there, finally trying out the famous foodie spot.

Inconvénients

Always, always, always have to be doing something to the point where some tasks (like inventory and upkeep) are broken down specifically to make sure you're never left with nothing to do. Hair always has to be up and back, under a cap, nails can never be done and must be neatly trimmed, and no jewelry (not even scrunchies) is allowed to be worn anywhere visible. Your break is also unpaid, although you can choose to the length and whether to take it, as long as it complies with NY State Labor Laws.
