      Inconvénients

      Bullying is rampant from the senior leadership, especially the CEO. The company working culture is all about time utilisation and waterfall project management. Trusted colleagues are frequently ‘disappeared’ with no explanation. You catch yourself wondering where they are only to find their details expunged from the system. The company moves agonisingly slow on anything and frequently runs over budget, panics and starts shifting staff on to make work to cover their blushes.

      We value feedback from previous and existing employees, thank you. We do not tolerate bullying at any level of the organisation and are committed to the highest standards of quality, honesty and accountability. We recognise, however, that situations can arise whereby an employee may become aware of some serious wrongdoing in the workplace. We believe we have a duty to take appropriate measures to identify such situations and attempt to remedy them. By encouraging a culture of openness and accountability within the organisation, we believe that we can help prevent such situations occurring. With regards the other points made we do recognise that some parts of the business still rely on legacy models however we do continue to move toward more agile and iterative approaches to improve flexibility and ownership.       Inconvénients

      Transition from contract to permanent can take some adjustment. Lots of interesting work available, which can make it hard to choose what to get involved in.

      Avantages

      Having spent nearly four years at Roke, I can truly say it is one of the best companies I have worked for. I am incredibly proud of our work and feel privileged to work with such talented individuals whose innovative work I cannot even begin to understand. Of course, like any business, we have had both good and bad days, but I can honestly say that Roke care about their employees and provide a lot of support when needed, as I have experienced myself recently. While there are some areas for improvement, I have nothing but positive to say about Roke. It is all about your personal outlook on life and appreciation. It can be challenging as is every business, but I feel like I am here for the long haul and I am excited about what is to come.

      Inconvénients

      Career progression and L&D feels limited at the moment, however, I’m aware that new career pathways are being developed which is encouraging
