Avantages

Flexible upper management Decent pay Great place to start out as a young professional attempting to learn about the healthcare industry. Possible exposure to very diverse companies with all the companies that fall under UHG/ Optum

Inconvénients

The management is a bit clueless. Most are Samford grads who hire Samford grads (if you are a Samford grad come work here they will love you immediately). There are many employees being hired in mid level and upper level management who have no experience in healthcare or healthcare administration. The pay is honestly below market average. Parent company will very soon own and dictate operations. The workforce is very lean and if you are not careful you will burnout under the heavy workload. It’s not the worst situation I’ve ever been in but it is pretty bad.

Avantages

Fun but professional work environment. First job I don’t wake up and dread going to. Love my teammates and surgeons! The surgeons have a much better mindset here than at the hospital.

Inconvénients

Some “favoritism” goes on, but I think that’s anywhere you work.
