Avantages
The Marketing Department has succeeded in recruiting some good rank-and-file marketing staff, as well as some decent mid-level managers.
Inconvénients
The upper-level Marketing managers run the department using fear and humiliation as their primary employee motivators because they lack real management skills. Every day they nitpick at the smallest matters to divert attention away from the fact that they offer no inspiration, strategy, or vision to do the job of marketing: Promoting the company's people and its strengths. The result is a mediocre, uninspired marketing product AND the lowest morale imaginable among a staff who are afraid to innovate or offer anything but the most minimal, insignificant changes. Additionally, the never-ending unrealistic deadlines on top of the crushing workload and low morale make this a truly depressing place to work.
