Avantages
The culture, the workload was manageable and just an overall great experience. Definitely opened doors for me by having the opportunity to develop in my role.
Inconvénients
Unable to continue to work for the company.
Avantages
ScaleSec understands that people in the SecOps/SecDevOps/Compliance space are really in demand right now, so they know treating employees well is paramount to attracting top talent. That commitment shows; they really do support work/life balance and treat everyone like the adults they are. There's a lot of freedom to run engagements the way you see fit, to pursue things you find interesting, and to share any and all thoughts/ideas you have, including constructive criticism. We actually have a weekly forum for conversations like this, where nothing is off the table. Because this truly is a startup, you can see your suggestions put into action. Working from home is obviously a great perk, and the use of video conferencing and 1-on-1s with the entire team means you never feel isolated or like you don't have true coworkers. Benefits are on par with larger companies, and there is limited travel. Even though this is a startup, everyone comes from an enterprise background right now; this means that a lot of the hiccups I've seen at startups (disorganization, growing pains, lack of roadmaps) are avoided via careful, thoughtful planning. It's a bit "Wild West" at times, but nothing like some other places.
Inconvénients
Because of the freedom and small size of the company, not everyone thrives. You truly need to manage yourself and your time effectively; no one will do it for you, and the only person responsible for missed deadlines is you! Think deeply about how well you can work unattended 100% of the time.
