Avantages
- Good vision for the product and company; good CEO - Employees are given lots of responsibility & accountability - Lots of current and prospective clients (company is on a growth trajectory) - Great health care benefits, which is well-funded by the company so employees don't have to pay too much - Intelligent coworkers who work hard to deliver work on time - Good HQ location in the Seaport district - Snacks, drinks, & beer-on-tap; free lunch on Wednesdays - The senior team hosts a helpful monthly update meeting - The company is still fairly small so it's a pretty flat organization (not a lot of beaurocracy)
Inconvénients
- Incredible amounts of work to be done and not enough resources to do them - Employees are pressured to work very long hours. Their website says they have a "work hard, play hard" culture, but "play hard" activities happen only rarely (despite what the website says). - Most employees are very nice; others....not so much - Seems to be a lot of employee churn for such a small company - Limited professional development / training opportunities - Some of the managers are ... not great - No 401K match - No parking or transit benefit (though they do have a program where you can pay for your own parking or transit using pre-tax dollars) - No vision plan
