Avantages
Some really good people and managers who have been at Simplus since the gool ol' days (prior to 2023) are still here. Base Pay is in line with most Salesforce consultancies. Many people-managers support and defend good work/life balance and high-quality projects, though some in word only. Until 2025, Simplus has an 'unlimited PTO' policy, though with obvious limits.
Inconvénients
The Infosys takeover is accelerating. The once-wonderful company culture continues a downward spiral toward a low-rent body shop. Top leadership left in 2022-23, replaced by Infosys yes-men, or the occasional well-intentioned guy whose ideas are handcuffed by inept Infosys leaders. Senior Managers and experienced Consultants continue leaving, replaced by folks comfortable in a low-rent environment. Many skilled Salespeople left, new Salespeople are not selling enough and not selling our strengths. Pipeline has been thin for a while except for terribly-run Infosys-led projects (not Simplus-led). SOWs are under-scoped or infeasible timelines. Projects staffed with increasing offshore and US visa-holders, and projects that are unfortunately led by Infosys (not Simplus) PMs push heavy workloads, long days and weekend work. This has been causing stress and burnout for seasoned Architects & Tech Leads. Infosys project leaders often over-promise, under-deliver, and lead projects into troubled escalations, which results in whipping the workers, forcing night and weekend work, rather than having intelligent project plans and realistic timelines. Company is ditching Salesforce as an internal tool and migrating to Workday, despite the fact we are a Salesforce consultancy. Laptops are locked down, and any IT help that needs to come from Infosys can take weeks to resolve instead of the 10 minutes it used to take Simplus IT to fix something.
