      Avantages

      There is a real sense of togetherness at Skills for Security and it is one of the first things you notice when you start. People here genuinely want to help each other and the atmosphere is warm, relaxed and full of laughter. The leadership team work closely with each other which creates a really steady and clear direction for everyone. Colleagues bring a huge amount of industry experience and they are always willing to share their knowledge and learn more about the apprenticeship world. Whether you are working in one of the centres or from home you are trusted to manage your time and there is a healthy balance between getting things done and taking care of yourself. When you need help you only have to say and people will respond quickly. Your honesty is valued and your voice is taken seriously.

      Avantages

      The company offers plenty of opportunity to develop, especially in my role transition from an engineer to a tutor. They have offered me training to make this transition smoother and to help build my understanding of the role. The management team are supportive of all staff and genuinely want to see employees motivated and succeed. The culture between staff members is excellent, with everyone willing to support and help each other when needed. A typical day as a tutor is naturally challenging, as any role in education can be. However, the rewards far outweigh the challenges. Overall, the job is enjoyable and highly rewarding, and I would recommend that any engineers considering a career change seriously look into the teaching or training route.

      Changes can happen quickly, however this is due to the requirements of an educational setting
