Unrealistic expectations powered by AI hype Management believes AI can complete any feature instantly, regardless of complexity, scalability, or code quality. Every feature is expected in one day No proper estimation, no technical discussion—according to management, every functionality magically takes a single day 🤣. Developers are treated like disposable resources There is no respect for work-life balance or human limits. Developers are expected to be available beyond office hours without question. Blame culture instead of accountability Almost all projects are delayed despite having enough developers, yet all responsibility is pushed onto engineers instead of poor planning and unrealistic timelines. Extended working hours enforced by fear Working hours were pushed from 9–9 for a month, and even now remain around 10–8. Developers are still working 10+ hours daily. Threat-based management style If a developer refuses extended hours, termination threats are directly communicated by leadership. No personal life is respected The assumption is that employees have nothing to do after office hours and should be available at all times. Career damage in the long run Staying here too long makes it hard to compete in the market later, as real engineering skills slowly degrade.
