The people I've seen thrive here are self-starters who enjoy high-agency, scrappy environments and can work through ambiguity. - Truly some of the best people I've ever worked with. - Employees are encouraged to share feedback and run with new ideas and processes with close to no red tape. - Great benefits, but no 401k match. - As I mentioned above, the pace and shifting priorities makes it a place that's not for everyone. You probably won't enjoy the company if you prefer a ton of structure.

The fact that this behemoth of a software works as reliably and smoothly as possible is a testament to quite a few generations of talented and smart individuals. It’s not until you step away from using it as a daily driver that you really realize it’s like a Ferrari, they only make a few every so often and the engineers that work on them care about every single bolt.

Running a business takes incredible acumen and at times shrewd choices. With a step backward I think there was a lot of missteps here with handling finances and the optimism that came with low interest rates. Most devs don’t realize how this thing even works let alone how or why it will improve their productivity.
