Avantages
Simple work. Products are straightforward. Most people are kind and easy to get along with. Everyone is quick to help. No extra, unnecessary stuff like HR training videos and the pushing of certain values. Good amount of room for growth/many internal career opportunities. Low turnover.
Inconvénients
Tied to your desk/micro-managed, outdated practices, company uses old software, too many unnecessary policies instead of common sense (employees are forced to come in sick OR take a PTO day rather than just be allowed to work remotely), barely any breaks/freedom, little to no flexibility, made to feel guilty for using PTO, management is more concerned with rules that tie employees’ hands rather than maximizing revenue, low raises (even for tenured employees), and you only get acknowledged when you make mistakes (pretty much zero recognition/positive feedback).
