Avantages

The content you make is genuinely high quality and has wide reach

Inconvénients

Low pay for the industry. Other brands of this scale pay between 2x and 3x per published piece of the same length. The management has no respect for employees (treating the writers as freelance contractors rather than real employees even if they write full-time for the brand for years). The turn-over rate is extremely high, and they will gladly ditch quality writers in favor of taking on newer, more naive writers who don't know just how badly they're being paid/treated.

Avantages

Some of the people I worked with day to day were actually solid.

Inconvénients

- The entire place is weighed down by people who were promoted simply because they stayed the longest, not because they actually know how to lead or manage a team. - Decision-making feels reactive and disorganized instead of guided by real leadership or planning. - The people in charge do not seem to understand what a team needs to function or succeed, yet they are responsible for directing everything. - There is constant talk about growth, but leadership roles are often filled by individuals with little to no experience in developing or managing people. - The same ineffective leadership patterns keep repeating, leading to little to no real improvement over time. - There is no meaningful accountability once someone is promoted, as feedback is often ignored or blocked. - Problems continue to stack up because issues are not addressed, only left unresolved. - The gap between what the team could achieve and what actually happens is heavily driven by a weak leadership structure.
