Avantages
1. Coworkers have great work ethic overall 2. High growth startup environment - opportunities to really challenge yourself by taking on more responsibilities if that is what you want 3. Leadership come from NGO backgrounds - so people are somewhat social impact driven
Inconvénients
1. Several highly toxic managers - witnessed and experienced many instances of workplace bullying especially towards employees from minority backgrounds (female, non-white etc.) 2. High turnover across departments (several left due to burnout) 3. While marketed as a social impact company, at the end of the day it is no different than any other remittance company. Was unclear how social impact was considered at all in the strategy of the company (other than picking random countries in Africa and Asia as payouts).
