As a manager at Teknowledge, my experience has been frustrating and disheartening. The company has significant issues that impact both employee morale and overall productivity. Firstly, the workplace culture is concerning. There is a noticeable tolerance for racism and bigotry among employees, and management has failed to address these serious issues. This lack of action not only fosters a toxic environment but also undermines any efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. Organizationally, Teknowledge is chaotic. There is a distinct absence of structured training programs for both frontline staff and leadership. This gap in training leads to confusion and inefficiency, making it difficult for employees to feel confident in their roles. Furthermore, the company seems to undervalue its workforce, offering low wages that do not reflect the effort and dedication of its employees. Leadership is another area of concern. The Operations Manager appears hesitant to make decisions, often opting to avoid confrontation rather than addressing issues head-on. Additionally, the country manager's leadership style is damaging; they frequently criticize and reprimand team members publicly during meetings, creating an atmosphere of fear rather than one of collaboration. Overall, Teknowledge seems stuck in the past, resistant to embracing a more progressive and supportive workplace culture. Without substantial changes, I fear that employee dissatisfaction will continue to grow, and the company will struggle to retain talent.
