Avantages

The constant change and opportunities Threadless provides not only the employees but artists around the world is amazing, if anyone ever gets the chance to work there I strongly suggest to take advantage of every second, since there is not another cooler place to work for. I had the chance to work directly with the founder a few times and help represent the company in presentations, events, meetings etc, it really provided me with a different outlook and approach into business and it was a great experience for my growth and motivation to start my own business as well.

Inconvénients

With the growth comes constant changes, I miss the small tight artists community it once had.

Avantages

Lots of creative people, cool open office, free breakfast on Monday, monthly Thirsty Thursdays, events throughout the year, free t-shirts every month, benefits package is good, PTO policy is unlimited and you can work from home, gated parking lot

Inconvénients

Threadless is very disorganized as a company. Meetings are poorly ran, nepotism is rampant. Most of the department heads are friends of the CEO. Some employees work very little, while others are completely overwhelmed with no support from management. There is absolutely zero chance to move up in the company. Employee turnover is VERY high, like 10+ people have left in the past 6 months. There was an HR person but they left in 2014. Management changes direction all the time. We phase out certain things only to bring them back later. Most of the employees complain about working there but no one wants to speak to management because they are afraid of getting fired. I've never worked at a place with more people who dread coming into work or dislike their managers so much. Many employees stay for the insurance. A lot of the systems are built in house and so there is a disconnect between things like production, warehouse management, and the customer management system. Management team does offsite meetings regularly and there is little transparency. When you come on you hear about the good old days when the company used to do things together and they would have big parties or company events. Sadly it seems to have changed a lot since then. It feels like there is a large divide between those who are close to the CEO and the rest of the employees. Site changes and other initiatives are shipped before they are ready. Everything is rushed and buggy. The tech team has too much on their plate. Sales are poor. Not sure what the future holds, It doesn't seem like things are improving.
