Avantages
The work is very challenging and technical and TR is at the top of the industry in advising its Members. Good work/life balance: there is no expectation for you to sit at your desk for all hours just to be seen sitting at your desk. Lovely friendly people. Great social activities, particularly the Christmas parties. There is some movement in senior management to progress the company but it is moving v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y.
Inconvénients
Pay, benefits and progression. Pay is very low for the London market, even taking into account the annual bonus which comes in at around 5%. Limited benefits. Nil progression - limited to dead man's shoes but even then the company will be more likely to recruit externally.
