Inconvénients
Being at Tismo will always make you feel BACK TO SCHOOL!! I served Tismo for 4 years with only 2 small hikes, pay is extremely pathetic for the amount of work you do. They are a service based company for embedded systems with no work-life balance and no work from home option, also, they strictly follow a minimum of 9 hours working a day policy also your manager would be expecting you to work on Saturdays without any additional compensation. The work you DO is not valued because you’re paid to do, however, by bootlicking managers, it’s in the cards that you will have a better performance rating and will be valued to the maximum. Don’t just go by the CTC offered, you will be only getting 65% of the mentioned CTC in hand, please ask for the policies and salary structure. Don't be fooled by what they mention as CTC. To make a fool out of the employees during the hike period they give increments in Variable pay!! (Peanuts hike). Managers will force you to rate the company 5 stars on Google and Glassdoor reviews so that the ratings go up, don’t be tricked by the positive reviews. A prime example is, one new kid had written about ‘Team Picnic’ on Glassdoor because he was forced to write, but that poor chump didn’t know what Glassdoor is all about. Tismo’s firing. A phenomenon as baffling to explain as it is to negotiate. Tismo follows “Hire and Fire” policy, in the month of June/July they will have 15 freshers joining and in the same year November they will fire 15 employees. No big surprise the strength is in the ’60s from last 5 years. Employees are just a use and throw material for them, you are not reusable. The moment they think you are useless, they will throw you away and shove your years of loyalty, hard work, dedication, contacts down the drain. In short, It is a working environment ruled with fear in the employees’ eyes. There is a small pantry on the 3rd floor where employees eat lunch within half an hour and also there is no canteen. What’s more, they have two small 15 minute break at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm where tea is served, exceeding your 15 minute break you will have your manager looking for your in the pantry inquiring if you have completed the assigned tasks which happen to be very humiliating in front of all the other employees around. In addition, beware people with soft words, who work closely with the VP's, they’ll betray you backbiting all the secrets to the management team so that they can get their promotion (one among your companion who directly reports to VP, however, goes about as a backstabber). The recent incident described underneath: Employee: "I resign." Employer: "OK (with a smile on the face)!" Employer to HR & Accounts (behind the back of the employee): let this employee suffer. Delay all the processing of his documents. Delay his final employment settlement. Delay the calculation of this employee's gratuity. He is leaving us after all! HR & Accounts staff: OK Sir! There is always an issue for employers when it comes to resigning or even termination. The employee experiences so much misery during such a phase & until separation. Sometimes, it is even worse than an actual divorce. I believe that an employee leaving the organization should be assisted & not let down. Everything possible should be done to make the exit & processing of documents & final settlement as fast & as smooth as possible. What is the role of the HR department after all? One shouldn't beg for any assistance or for the experience letter. There is no humanity in most cases & this has to change. The learning curve shall require some more time. No worries. If things are going smoothly in your life come out of your comfort zone this is the right place to experience a roller coaster ride and screw up everything. I am here to unfurl reality, read the review twice before joining the company.
