Avantages
Unit has one of the strongest engineering cultures I’ve experienced. A lot of companies say they care about code quality, architecture, and doing things “the right way,” but when push comes to shove they prioritize speed or shortcuts. At Unit, the high bar is real. Engineers are genuinely empowered to make thoughtful technical decisions, and quality isn’t sacrificed for convenience. The people are great. Smart, collaborative, and humble. There’s a lot of room to learn, both from strong peers and from working on meaningful, non-trivial problems. If you care about growing as an engineer and working in an environment where your technical judgment is trusted, this is a great place to be.
Inconvénients
The high bar can be demanding, which may not be for everyone. This isn’t a place to coast, expectations are high, and the work can be challenging.
