Avantages
The position was fully remote. They give you equipment to work with. If you are lucky you get a macbooks. The best part was the people on my team. Most of us originally joined through Kin + Carta before the acquisition by Valtech.
Inconvénients
The management and communication from leadership were consistently poor. Performance cycles and salary reviews were not prioritized. I spent nearly two years there with no meaningful salary increase. The company made decisions to cut important areas to save costs, yet continued to maintain expensive leadership positions. This created frustration on the employees. Coming from a company that really focused on inclusion and diversity, it was disappointing to see this isn't a priority here. While there is a team responsible for this, they've been completely sidelined. Most leaders are now men (except in areas like People/HR). I've seen women being moved out of leadership positions and replaced by men. While the company culture appears "modern" on the surface, in reality, it is not modern at all. The company doesn't truly listen to its employees. They have incredibly valuable human capital that they've never learned to appreciate them. They acquired other companies without having a clear organization ready, which caused frustration and led to a loss of talented people from the acquired companies.
